The ID of a catalog is an internal identifier that does not affect anything outside: it is not committed and is not retrieved.
The ID of a catalog is an internal identifier that does not affect anything outside: it is not committed and is not retrieved. It is just used to differentiate partition keys of different catalogs in the same RDD.
The developer is free to choose a unique catalog ID for each catalog managed by his/her software.
However, the ids chosen must be in sync with the EMR filter and with the configuration (json and command line), because the Driver parses them and presents them to the compilers, so the actual values must be the expected ones for the compilers to properly bind to the Catalog instances created by the Driver for them.
